Great books, perfect for your coffee table or to read. But the font could be bigger...please...my eyes are finally reminding me that I have hit middle age.
Great product, Miranda Lundy is able to take these arts and reduce them down to their bare bones, what they functioned as in ancient times, how their functions have changed, and how you can understand them. I felt my education of some of these subjects was lacking so I took to ordering this book and studying myself, I have read a lot of it and it's a great read. Please note, some of wooden books are just sections taken out from this book, so before you order other books from them ensure that you aren't getting the same texts in this book. The writing is simply brilliant and she somehow makes the subjects I found dullest in school, actually interesting and relevant.
My book arrived neatly packed and without damage of any kind. Quadrivium is a jam packed resource for the newly interested or seasoned veteran of how our world works from not only a philosophical perspective but the mathematical as well. Love it! The inclusion of ancient and historical etchings was a major treat. The language of sound and the beauty of resonance here on Terra Firma and Celestial all in this book ready to be explored.
I love this book. Full of great information and illustrations. It got four stars because at the top of the spine it was bent when I got it. I ordered this one and Sciencia and they both came with defects. Sciencia had bent page corners at the top when I received it. Also be careful with the book becauae the type of material it is made out of will scratch and get scuffed easily.

I am thrilled with this edition. I own The Golden Section and Ruler and Compass, which I love. They don't delve deeply into their subjects, but they cover an incredible breadth of topics. You can read them cover to cover, or you can just open up to any page and find all sorts of treasures in the text and illustrations. Quadrivium is a collection of 6 books from Wooden Press, Sacred Geometry, Sacred Number, Harmonograph, The Elements of Music, Platonic & Archimedean Solids, and A Little Book of Coincidence... the value alone is unbelievable, as each of these books retails $12... Quadrivium retails $20 and Amazon sells it for $12, so its basically a 6 for 1 deal. I've quoted Quadrivium in school papers, found inspiration in it for art class, and I pick it up in my spare time because it is so interesting. I highly recommend this to people of all ages, it makes a wonderful addition to any library.
This is an awesome book for anyone who is interested in math, science, music or design! The book itself is wonderfully designed and the information in it is just awesome! It is hours of amazing discovery and knowledge!
